1 minute sunset

Caught the sunset last night as Adam and I were walking to get some grub near the apartment. The sky wasn’t actually fading from warm to cool colors either in case you were wondering, that’s something flip did for fun I guess.

Taking my niece to Disneyland

I have been to Disneyland at least a hundred times but until I took a 6 year old there to meet Alice, The Mad Hatter and other characters, I hadn’t realized how truly magical it is :) Jade had a smile from ear to ear the whole day, with the exception of Splash Mountain where I lost some major points with both Jade and Gammy.

Ripley’s Believe it… or Not?

This was taken last year, and who knows why I never published it, but it is still my most favorite flip moment to date. When you first walk into Ripley’s there is a mirror and a video that tells you only x amount of people can fold their tongue this way and that. You get to the end and Voila – you have Beer Delivery Guy magic!

And then there’s this…

A visit to the original Pike Place Starbucks

While somewhat uneventful here I am purchasing my grande latte from the original Starbucks at Pike Place.

Important notes:
Sanka is apparently a coffee produced by Kraft.
I thought it looked a lot like Peete’s coffee shops and apparently during Starbucks first year of operation they purchased their beans from Peete’s.
Starbucks was not founded in 1912. It was actually founded in 1971. Peter was in fact reading the address on the door.

Flip and I are in Portland this week!

First night in Portland my lovely hosts took me to see Ra Ra Riot at what I like to call the “cabin chic” Doug Fir Lounge. I rarely enjoy musicians my first time hearing them but LOVED this band, especially the lead singer’s voice. They weren’t bad eye candy for men or women either.
